I'm fine mate! And you? I'm waiting for parts for my supermoto, enginebuilder doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry...

I used to have an RG500 wich has THE MOST mental powerdelivery and I'm thinking a turbocharged bike must feel sorta similar only quicker

There was a bike built in Germany that actually used a YB head for its engine

Kawasaki did a turbocharged GPZ 750 in the 80,s

I used to have an RD500 and a mate has a collction of RG500,s RD500,s and NS400,s proper nutter 2 strokes when the power band kicks in - cannot imagine how much of a boot this would give if you had the turbo kicking in lower down the rev range as well

I've ridden a Kawasaki GPZ750 turbo & a Suzuki XN

Both shonky pieces of crap

http://www.holeshotracing.co.uk/index.asp

A 550bhp Haybusa sounds like fun tho, especially for 7k ride in/ride out

BigCCs Turbo project has 540HP

In the states theyre now seeing 650 from them

A friend owns a 320HP Busa and let me ride it

Genuinely thought I would flip it as he didnt lengthen the swing arm

The bike power wheelies in top at 175 which he didnt bother to mention

I keep trying to buy it off him but hes having none of it even though in the last year and a half hes done 32 miles

Id like to turbo the Blade but Im wondering whatll happen mid corner when the boost cuts in and Im hanging of the side of the bike

I forsee 3 things :

1, a low side as it just spins up
2, a high side as it just spins up ............... re-grips and fooks me off into a hedge
3, it spins up , re-grips and I do a fancy moto-gp power slide ....... then I realize that was just luck and the bike WILL at some point try and kill me

Yeah its being done at Holeshot racing in the Winter

The trick is to get a small and very repsonsive turbo I think: don't know if you're familiar with the old RG500's but it's a bit like this:

.................................................. .................................................. ............3000RPM............................... .................................................. .....5000RPM...................................... ..............................7000RPM............. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................9000RPM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG GGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fook all happens untill it hit's it's powerband and then it just fook's off so violently you'd think the world's gonna end....~GREAT FUN!

Ill admit that they arent as handsome as your goodself but for a 200mph bike then aerodynamics must proceed over looks

I would have though a bigger turbo that spions up more progressively would be better?

A small turbo which is very punch could catch you out easier..

The power with a reasonably small turbo is very progressive and does not get twitchy mid corner, it still depends on how far you open the throttle as to how much power you get. Mine on a cold day when the carburation was better would make boost from 4000 to 11000 revs giving 7000rpm of boost to play with The small turbo does restrict top end power, but there is a limit to what you can realistcally use on a road bike. 200bhp at the wheel feels fast enough for me.

With a small turbo you know what's gonna happen and when it's gonna happen: big torque mid-corner isn't a bad thing as long as you know it's coming so it doesn't catch you out...
