Hiya folks

Can anyone help.

I am trying to recover some files from a friend's old HDD. So i set it as slave and put it in my mahcine...

Alls well and good, drive shows, i have access etc....however I cannot get into their "My Documents" it says "Access Denied"...fook, all the files needing backing up are in My Documents, anyone know how I can access this area (Without major hassle?)

 

hi mate, i did the same for someone and cud only recover some files, i take it the hard drive wont boot up? or bootin it in safe mode as a master?

make sure you log onto your pc as administrator or else it probably wont' work
