Mondeo auto gearbox problem -definetly low oil - Question?
Sometimes doesn't go into gear straight away. Like your in Drive and you pull up to roundabout and just revs a little bit i.e as if your in neutral then goes. Only does it now and again at the moment. Is there anything simple I can check?
BTW It's a 1.8GLX Mondeo.

Easy to top up if you have a long funnel .
Make sure you check the box oil level with the engine running.
The dipstick is on the right hand side and is a short yellow thing

I'll give it a go tommorow.

It does indeed sound like low oil level, unlike Andy's Laguna, which has the forward clutch piston split.
With the Mondeo, oil level should be checked in Neutral (engine running), as the cooler circuit does not run in Park (unless it has a valve-body mod

right checked and its definetly low. Can I pour in through the dip stick tube? It's quite wide with say a piece of hose and funnel?
Also on the dipstick it says check hot running in Park (I tried first in neutral) and it was low. It was still low in park.
cheers
