Default Wheel bolts for RS7 spokes?

What wheel bolts are used to fit the RS7's to an ERST?

Tried Fords and RSR but both no help.

I can remember seeing a post on here ages ago but cant find it, can anyone help?

Cheers

Paul

I assume the Wheel Bolt holes on those are large? If so, the nuts you need are known as Ford Ghia nuts. I can probably get them, but only order from my supplier periodically. Are you in a hurry?

Yeah the holes are quite large.

Gonna try another local place tom and see how I get on.

I can remember someone saying a while back about cutting the tapered sleeve off the wheel nuts that came with the wheels and fitting them to other Ford wheel bolts?

Cheers for the help Christian, I'll see how I get on tom and let you know.

Cheers

This is how I done mine, and I know a few ppl have done them this way, been fine about a year now, all it does is hold the exisiting collet in place (in the entrance to the wheel bolt holes) and the original ford bolts pull upto this.

I however want to change to one of Christians stud conversions

Adam your right

There nothing wrong with cutting off the collets off the ford wheels nuts it the same collect that you had to buy from fords but is no longer avab. so just cut the collect off the nuts that come with the RS`7s and use the standerd RST wheel bolts with collect and it would be fine.Thats the way ford sold the alloys you had to buy the collects as well so it`s not a bodge job cutting them off

So theres no chance of anything going wrong

Used collects on loads of diffent mk3/4 escorts never had a prob

Paul If you get stuck.

www.speedshack.co.uk

Can sell you some bolts with the larger washers on. I had to use them when I had the Brooklands wheels on my old Escort. They were Ł1.50 each IIRC.

Cheers for all the help people.
In the end managed to pick some up at Croydon Race and Rip-off, so now all is fitted and all is good.

Cheers

Paul
