This is how I done mine, and I know a few ppl have done them this way, been fine about a year now, all it does is hold the exisiting collet in place (in the entrance to the wheel bolt holes) and the original ford bolts pull upto this.

I however want to change to one of Christians stud conversions

There nothing wrong with cutting off the collets off the ford wheels nuts it the same collect that you had to buy from fords but is no longer avab. so just cut the collect off the nuts that come with the RS`7s and use the standerd RST wheel bolts with collect and it would be fine.Thats the way ford sold the alloys you had to buy the collects as well so it`s not a bodge job cutting them off

So theres no chance of anything going wrong


Used collects on loads of diffent mk3/4 escorts never had a prob
