Ive done sumit to me turbo (still under warrenty) and am wondering just how hard it is to remove it! as i dont really wanna pay someone else to do it! so i can get it sent off and put back on set up and start blistering round again!

Any addvice taken!

You can do it without removing the rad, but I cant recommend it.
Best is to remove the rad and then take it off.

 

Easier to remove rad. you can use a long extension with a ratchet to get most of the bolts then

 

you can do it with the rad still in place, be carefull though ! My rads been moved back towards the engine due to my intercooler but me and a mate still managed to do it

done it twice without removing the rad... tis quite easy

 

Ive done it once wiv the rad in, but took the turbo off wiv the manifold. Was easy enough.

220TC, how did you move your rad back as i have to do the same cus the fan on the front of the cooler just as good enough gotta get it inbetween!

 

Im not sure mate as either the previous owner did it or Karl Norris (it has a NMS intercooler). Im at work at the mo but I'll have a look when I get home, see if I can see anything. Im not sure how far its been moved back but I had to get a shorter alternator belt because before it was rubbing on the bottom rad hose.
