in my view theres no such thing as a budgeted 200bhp, if you want 200bhp you might aswell do it properly the first time.........

But if u want a stressed 200bhp on a standard bottom end and head etc, a grs, stage 2 turbo, 18psi+,cam, and a good setup, u might see 200bhp.... or might see a rod through your block.........

On the otherhand you can go for a bottom end rebuild with forged low comp pistons, arp bolts, (rods, if u can afford it), with all what was mentioned above and you will have less chance of detting, and damaging your engine, your car is a good one so keep it that way and do it properly and a 'safe' 200bhp with the choice of extracting more power in the future...

Hope this helps, thats what ive done with mine, and the outcome is worth it.

well if you use the same place as me, turbo.jon and dave seaman have used its gonna be around 400 quid for the bottom end work,

i brought ross forged low comp pistons for mine Ł500 quid, arp bolt set Ł150, and alan at engine engineering done the rest, so i would set aside Ł1200, in all my complete engine, cam, turbo, grs, sets me in at 3k, but mine is estimated at 220bhp at 21psi of boost, you properly int as a lairy as driver as me, and u might want to keep yours more sensiable than mine.

i will warn you if you use alan at engine engineering, that u will wait 3 months for the bottom end to come back!, but he has good prices and been doing it for years....

the pistons are another story as u cant tell till the bottom end has been dismantled and see what oversize u need, could be 0.5mm in your case, mine was 1mm overbore but mine was on 140k miles!, but keep 500 quid aside for these, speak to p.t.s, thats where i got mine from 01582731733, or burton power. The arps i got from a place in performance ford mag, think it was amber performance, u will need a uprated clutch that technicclutch one is ok ive got that one.

alan can also lighten your flywheel i had this done with the 400 quid price

but ive used p.t.s for just about everything and burton power and couldnt fault them!
