Hi I have an Mk5 escort that was recently turboed with a FRST Engine. The head was skimmed and a new ford head gasket and head bolts used. After a month of driving I found oil (not cream) in the expansion tank but no water in the oil. The car is not overheating and I have done a compression test all on 150. Some of the things I can think of are maybe the ford oil cooler has broken and is letting the oil mix with the water. Or a small crack in the block?
What can be the problem plz help!
Thanks Ollie

i have seen fooked turbo's mix it up, h/gasket failure, dodgy block, oil coolers, inlet manifolds leaking(looks like oil but is really fuel),cracked heads...........gotta check it out dude
Or buggered head gasket.
Take the head off,you can usually see if the gasket has gone.
Also while the head is off get it pressure tested and checked to see if it has warped.
Before you whip the head off try doing a compression test, two adjacent cylinders with low compression is probably a blown head gasket.
