Evening all, im looking at buying this 91 fiesta rs turbo, all was going well until I searched up the reg on the dvla and other vehicle check sites, its all over the place, some are saying its an rs turbo, some just say fiesta and one even says its an LX! And virtually all of them are saying its a 1.8!?
is this a common thing when searching these or is this a massive red flag?

It's got a Zetec bottom end, thats why it's registered as a 1.8 - I only know this as the tell-tale oil dipstick is at the front right hand side near the headlight, the CVH dipstick is at the back behind the right right side of engine.

Pity all those words didn't tell you that in the description!

The zetec bottom end conversion was quite popular in the late 90s early 2000s, known as the ZVH as the CVH head could still be used and a bigger capacity bottom end from the Zetec 1800 and 2 litre.

 

God only know what all those red pipes looped up near the cam belt cover are though??

I'm not sure but I think its not got the T25 Fiesta turbo on it either, looks like a T3 off an Escort, as you say, she's a Frank!

Unless you are told the full spec it's a big unknown.

 

Yeah too many questions for my liking, gonna give this one a wide birth!
Hes either been scammed or trying to scam me, either way, im out!
