Default Idle issue with my 87 XR3i

Hi, recently aquired an 87 XR3i and it was running smoothly until it stalled once during idle. After that it wouldt run for longer then 20-30sec, starts like a charm everytime. Now it is only during idle it stalls, if I give it some throttle it doesn’t stall but if i let it drop back down to idle rpms it stall. Wondering what could case this? Thank you for any tips.

Air leak usually if it was truly that random. Check all vac hoses including the AAV hose that goes under the throttle body - I've had these pop off out of nowhere before leaving me stalled at the side of the road

Had similar issue years a go and it was the oil cap.

Default Still issues

Cleaned the throttle body, checked all the vac hoses no issues there, checked the oil fill cap without any improvement. Still lasts about 30 sec everytime i start em up but always stalls. Tried upping the idle rpm without luck. Lost for ideas right now. Any more tips?

Thank you

Checked the inlet gaskets (either side of injector plate)?
Checked injector o-rings?

Both rife for air leaks and often forgotten (especially the injectors)

Is it stalling irrespective of temperature?
