Default Rs turbo steering wheel nut

Hi everyone,

as the title reads, does anyone know what nut I need as I have misplaced the one I took off and I am not sure what size or thread pattern I’ll need to try and find to put the steering wheel back on!

thanks in advance

Blake

Hope you dont mind me hijacking this.... I swapped my steering wheel last week and was expecting a self cancel for the indicators, mine is a 1990 and the plastic washer was smooth no clips on the side so i wanted to ask is yours the same and could the self cancel plastic bit be added to switch off the indicators?

When you go from a Tesla to an RST you need a few modern touches....

The plastic sleeve isn't the self cancel. The steering wheel has this on the outer design

Unless by "mines a 1990" you mean its a MkV, not a late MkIV, in which case pass as its been far too long since I've messed with a Mk5

Thank you, I have put a cosworth steering wheel on but didn’t really test the self cancel as it went straight in for it’s MOT so I will have a look when it comes back, hopefully swapping from the MOMO to a ford wheel has done the trick

it’s a 1990 RST mk 4, thank you for your reply also 😛😀

as said above the cancel is built into the steering wheel, I have a Rs 3 spoke which had the correct ford boss, maybe the momo one you had didn’t have it in the boss that was supplied when you installed that one? Hopefully now you have fitted a period correct ford wheel it will sort it self out! All the best Blake
