Default So many used cams for sale?

Wondering about the amount of adverts for used camshafts? Given the problems I've had with crap piper cams was under the impression
you had to bed in a new cam with new followers or risk dire consequences.
Hence why are used cams with no followers fetching daft money.
I'm on my second new Piper cam that near screwed the engine due to their followers being crap.
Used a follower from a an old but good Power engineering cam to replace a goosed one in the new cam
and actually still have the original 1990 standard cam but must have binned the followers or rather the 'Tuner'
did. According to Simon at Sitech, anything after 2002 is probably a bag of shit. Go Newman and roller rockers
and it will still wear out after costing a fortune. First Piper cam, follower not hardened, 6 miles home and eats follower and
cam lobe. Generously gave me a new one after much arguing. More fool me. Self built engine did 196Bhp on
Sitechs rolling road, 30 miles later, one follower locked solid first time I tried full boost and have absolutely
no faith that this piece of Piper crap to let me take the car any distance?
Have swapped numerous heads and cams and follow the instruction religiously with no problems until I tried
the Piper crap so buy a used cam for your Cossie with no followers and just chuck new ones in???
