I'm wondering what options there are for replacing the standard Garret T03 Turbo with some other instead of upgrading the original to a 2/3 hybrid, no one seems to have the turbo in stock, so they need you to ship it to them and due to where i live, the turbo has to be shipped out of the country and the shipping alone is insanely expensive.
The goal is around 220-230 bhp (with all the typical upgrades)

Any turbo change will also require spark/fuel tuning etc to suit.

If you are prepared to adapt some parts to make a different turbo fit, then there are thousands of options

Something like a GT2860 would probably work well.

This would normally be a T25 flange, but your manifold could likely be drilled/tapped to suit and you'd need to remake some pipes.

Yeah, i've been thinking of the TD04 for Saab 9000 Aero or maybe a T3 from a Sierra Cosworth. Seems that the Saab one is the easiest to mount? I'm not going for mad power around 220bhp with good spool.

 

An ancient T3 from a Cosworth would be a laggy piece of shit.
