Planning to test injectors Purple pump relay showed no signs of 87 30.
Looked on Ebay and sussed it. Forgetting I was looking at the relay
went down forgot to reverse the diagram.
Bridged 31 and 87 before I twigged what I'd done wrong.
Is this likely to have damaged anything?
Looking at the wiring diagrams 31 seems to go to voltage protection
which means absolutely nothing to me.

Need to bridge the largest wires , from memory red and red/black

 

Sussed it working, just worried doing it the wrong way broke something but cheers for taking the trouble to reply. Sure O.A.P. Pete

As GVK says thats correct.....31 on the relay is "earth negative"....so no problem you accidently bridge this with 87.. so its 87 Red/black....to 30 Red....Peter
