Default Clutch pedal position

Hi all,

I have a problem I’ve just fitted a ib5 box and fitted the clutch cable back up and the pedal is sitting really high it’s actually touching the column 🤦🏼 have I done something terribly wrong or is do I need to use a different cable or something I’ve literally just had about enough with the car it’s just problem after problem 🤬 should I have the little black arm on top of the quadrant as I can’t see it in position or a spring or anything but the clutch pedal sat fine before when I took it out a year or so ago. Any help will be appreciated thanks in advance some pics of my progress so far

I don’t think the gearbox swap has anything to do with your problem as the clutch actuation is the same as a B5. Clutch or cable would be my thoughts.
You need to be resilient to problems with modifying car as they rarely end.

hi mate,

thanks for the reply, I have been doing some research and think I’m just going to chuck a hydraulic clutch kit in it from eBay, hoping that will solve my issues, I know my mate keeps saying the same thing I just lose my patience too quickly with it.
