You're looking for Part No. 1664712. Seems to be a bit tricky, but: the connectors should have been the same for all Fiesta MK3. So maybe one (a longer one) from a different engine might fit.

Maybe MK5 Escort might also fit.

Hi mate,

thanks for the reply, it’s crazy isn’t it you would think a generic part like that would still be readily available, I’ll have to do some research and see if there is an alternative that can be used.

It is getting to be a problem now with all of the older Fords. I have a 2wd Sapphire Cosworth 1990 and it is the same ,some parts now are just not available.A while back I went to the biggest Ford spares place in Hampshire to pick up some parts for a guy in the US as he could'nt get them over there. While I was there I asked the guy if they may still have any original parts for my 2wd Saff. He thought this was highly amusing and shouted across to some other guys " hey he wants to know if we have any parts for his Sapphire Cosworth", lots of laughter. He then turned his big computer monitor around and showed me what it said, "Zero parts available suggest try owners clubs".

Bloody hell that’s mental isn’t it?! You would have thought with the cult following that all the Old Ford’s have that people would still make parts readily available for them wouldn’t you, I guess they are just trying to push us all into electric cars! 🤦🏼

Ah that’s brilliant mate I’ll wait for you to finish working away and hopefully I can source one from that part number, shame I don’t know someone with a fiesta Rs turbo because a company in wales would make one if I had one to send as a template for them 🤦🏼

Why if nobody needs them ?

Speedy cables should be able to make whatever you want.

That's the point. Throttle cables usually last longer than the rest of the car so why should Ford build up a huge (and expensive!) stock for parts they don't expect to sell ever? Plus Ford built less cars of the XR2i/RST than of lower spec ones.

Like I said, maybe a MK5 Escort fits. Or a MK3 Fiesta one from a different engine.

totally understand what you are saying and I am not going to get into a keyboard debate over stick parts and how long they should last etc etc, just want some advice on where I could possibly find one, I’ll try a mk5 one like you said mate 👍🏽

As already said, speedy cables can make almost any cable.

Give them details of what you need.
