Hi guys,
I'm helping a family member out with an RS500 restoration project. Car has been sat for years so trying to get the engine running. We couldn't get it to fire up and eventually realised the ECU was completely missing! We've got hold of an L6 ECU with a non standard chip, and was told by the seller that the ECU would work in the RS500 but not the chip. From what I've read on various threads the ECU should work. So 2 questions really:

1. Is the L6 ECU plug and play with the RS500? (no wiring modifications, extra sensors needed etc).
2.Any recommendations of where I can get hold of a standard L6 chip? Assuming the ECU is compatible. Not looking for any power gains just want to get the car running.
