Default Jamsport quality of work

Hi,

have managed to get a second hand go tech management system so done some research and see jamsport seems to be the place to take the car once I’m ready. They seem to have mixed google reviews so wanted to know some personal experiences with them as I’ve personally not had the pleasure yet, thanks.

Loads of reviews on here if you do a search. As per google, it will be fairly mixed. You get the lovers and the haters

hi mate
thanks for the reply I’m asking as I have a go tech management system and from what I’ve read I’m pretty sure they were(are) the main il supplier of this unit, not really sure if anyone will work with it?

Thats right. They were definitely a big distributor of it when it first came out. I know a few other places offer it nowadays, but in terms of actually mapping it, Jamsport are probably up there in terms of experience.

That said, I know of a good handful of Escort owners that had it (either purchased/fitted, or purchased a car with it fitted already) who binned it off. The lack of general support and the unit itself just weren't worth the hassle.

Depending if you've bought it new (hopefully not as you would have done your research beforehand) or just inherited it, nows the time to decide wheres best spending your ££.

Edit: Just realised you said you bought 2nd hand. Still, probably should have done some reading before spending. Hopefully didn't cost you too much

It's a terrible management system, there are much much better alternatives - I would not go near it. Starting is random, as is eve4rything else. You will get very frustrated.

My local mapper refers to it as no gotech
probably better than mfi back in the day but we’ll out of date now.
All depends on what you want to do with the car.

Hi everyone thanks for your replies, to be fair I got it as part of a job lot with injectors fuel rail etc etc so doesn’t really owe me anything, what would you all recommend as a modern alternative these days, cars going to have a 2.1 zvh with head work stage 3 t3 have most of the bits for efi conversion I believe, aim is to get what I have fitted to the car and take it somewhere to have management sorted and to get it up and running. Any ideas much appreciated

There a guy in Chard ,PVE , Performance Vehicle Engineering - give him a call - never used him but a closed friend got his TT mapped there and apparently he is a Ford nut - so maybe a chat with will help. As above , choose a mapper and go with what they say
