I thought I would start a thread to keep track of the progress of bringing JNO back to life.
The car is a 60,500-mile Custom, with 5 previous keepers from new and lots of receipts. It has been owned by a friend since 1999 and had an MOT in 2007 although not on the road.
It has a power engineering engine, the head has just gone back on and the rest needs doing,

Day two involved a good clean, I have no idea how many years since it last wash so it had a good bath and prep for a machine polish.
I have been given a space at a friends place to work on the car for a month, which is great as I should be able to have an almighty to push to get it up and running.
Parts bought so far:
Timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm. Still need to get tensioner before I can time it all up.

Today involved a deep hoover of the car and an internal clean with a light wet clean of the front carpets. I then began the complete machine polish, I only managed half the car so far but I will be back tomorrow to finish, then IPA then coat it.
The seats are in absolutely fantastic condition as is most of the interior, my main battle will be the wiring of old stereos, alarms, and immobilizers.

Almost all the engine parts I need I now have, tomorrow I may get it almost back together, I have removed the charge cooler and will be fitting back a Pace intercooler.
I have now fitted all four refurbed wheels as the front right was the odd one, that's now in the boot.
I have given under the boot carpet a nice clean and wipe down.
My new fuel tank has arrived but I need to sort out a new cradle and pump assembly.
The brand new unused centre caps have arrived.
Front brakes looked at and had a quick wipe down.

Just saw your post and your name caught my eye. I am in Vancouver and working on a project involving a cosworth yb and an old healey. No one I have found locally has experience with the yb and I wondered if you have any sources or experience you might be willing to share?

I haven't been online much of late but the progreess has slowly continued.
I have removed the tank, cleaned it, new gasket and back in just some hoses to replace that connect to teh fuel line.
Engine is mainly back together, bottom intercooler pipe to source and fit. Most coolant and ancillary lines replaced just need to finish the install.
New bosch fuel pump and new complete cradle fitted. New hoses fitted.
One alarm and immobiliser removed.
RS Graphics fitted

Another small update.
More parts added, coolant hoses fitted and clamped, intercooler hoses all fitted up with one 'made up' just for testing, and a new kit ordered from MSD earlier.
Anti-roll bar brackets fitted, battery charged, and I tried to start it.
one of the HT leads broke today, so that doesn't help but it does start for a second or two and then cuts out. It feels like it's running on the fuel that's priming but won't run. The leads won't be helping so I will try again soon.
The car has now gone into storage for a few months while I complete on a house with a garage, I won't get to work on it much which I am gutted about.
