Has it got fresh fuel in it? And enough of it? The pumps usually go noisy when they are pumping air opposed to fuel!

If you took the fuel pump out the equation, it will be the Jetronic setup. Warm up regulator or Metering head will be the obvious culprits - they are probably gunked up and/or corroded to buggery internally depending how it was all left. The fact it runs for 10mins from cold I'd be looking at fuel pressure first and foremost. Then that will identify if its crashing out, in which case start at the WUR

Thanks for reply yes fuel tank was drained and there is plenty of new fuel in car the fuel pump is definatley pumping it out no problem. I will have a look at cleaning out the warm up regulator ss youve said and see if that makes any difference

Thanks

Andy.

Have any flexible fuel lines been checked / replaced?
Have any hard fuel lines been checked for partial blockages / corrosion?
Does it have a fuel pump relay , is that O.K?
Fuel tank breather?

Tried manually opening pkate still wont run....but if i take the fuel lines off and lift plate up fuel is rising out of all 4 ports evenly so fuel must be going thru
