Default Ford Escort Mk4 13inch wheels rubbing on arches.

Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice, my Mk4 is rubbing on her rear arches, shes lowered by 40mm and currently still on oil shocks, running 13inch pepper pot alloys. Any advice would be muchly appreciated, as not sure if it's the lowering springs which are just too soft or the fact I'm still running oil based rear shocks.

It's not the Shocks that's the problem, it's either either the rim offset, rim width or tyre width or a combination.

Okay then thanks mate, just had a little look and it's probably the tyre size then as currently running 185/60R13 and should be 175/70R13
