Sapph Foam Replacement & Corrosion
Hi All
My sapph is bare bones rolling shell and I busy with a very slow reassmbly. I would please like to know if any of you have replaced the foams when assembling. I recall many years back when stripping the car down, pulling two big foam blocks out the bottom of the b-pillars. Now should i be putting those back? I'm always sceptic as foam loves to hold water or mosture and thats where corrossion sets in. However, I watched a 3m tutorial video and the technician states that in most modern vehciles certain foams are required in certain places within the chassis or vehcile structure for needed support and vehcile safety, does this also have to do with crash protection or possible keeping the shape in cerayin ares's etc
Do the Sapphs require foams and where should I be placing these foams or if there are foams, where should i look for them considering there are alot of hidey holes.
Thanks
