Default Ford Focus ecoboost 1.0. Engine stays on after ignition off.

Hi guys. Recently just bought 2016 version of the above. Lovely car. Only issue is not all the time but sometimes I’ve noticed a quite loud whirring noise for about 5 minutes after engine off. Then I hear a click noise and it stops.

garage I spoke to said it’s normal but just wanted to double check with you guys if this is experienced by you. Had rotten luck with cars previously so probably over thinking it 😃 thanks for the help!!

It'smost likely the radiator cooling fan that's running on after the engine stops.

mine makes a few odd noises after it's switched off, when you open the doors and stuff for the keyless ignition gubbins
the whirring is more than likely to be the fan, loads of cars do this now but when the mrs comes home i'll go and have a listen

That will make sense then as it doesn’t do it on a really short journey just after a 20 min one. Thought it may be connected to air con. Thanks for the answers guys 👍🏻
