Default 1.25 engine swap to 1.6 zetec

Hi guys

im looking to ditch my 1.25 engine and put a 1.6 zetec engine in. Just wanted to know will have have to change the engine wiring loom to fit the 1.6 or is it a straight swap. If someone could give me some ideas that would be awesome 😎.

In theory I believe it should be the same, assuming you are swapping to the 1.6 Sigma (i.e. not silver top) which is essentially your engine, just larger capacity.

The ECU would need to be swapped, or your current one remapped.

Thanks Martin, yeah I will be putting the zetec blacktop se engine in it with the matching ecu and reader. I just wanted to know if the looms were the same as some people think some plugs are different connectors in places 🤷‍♂️
