I filled up with fuel this morning and decided to check my tyre pressures. Because it was freezing I didn't check what they should be for my Ford Eco sport but guessed around 33 lbs. So I inflated all four to that pressure. I'm hoping I got it right, car seems to go ,much better now anyway.

With Britain now a metric country I wonder if tyre pressures will ever change to kilopascals? I have'nt really taken any notice but are tyre pressure gauges in lbs and kilopascals?

 

Generally psi or bar isn't it with bar being metric?

 

It usually tells you the psi on a little sticker when you open the drivers door (my Focus Mk2.5 does), so no excuse for just guessing. Mines 33 front / 30 rear so an EcoSport would probably be similar.

 

Yep, it does tell you on the door, just that it was early morning and freezing, so I put 33 all round. May take a tad out of the back next time I fill up. Thanks guys.
