Default Advice on silicon hoses - which brand?

Hi all,

Looks like i've found me a car

I'm planning to whip the engine out whilst the shell is in the bodyshop and have a general clean up session on it - inside and out!

Wanting to use red silicon hoses all the way under the bonnet - wondered which brand you lot'd recommend and the cheapest i can get them?

I'm looking really at SFS, Samco & Roose - but would look at others depending on quality and price...

These are going to be for boost, coolant and ancil - Cheers!

I was told by a hose supplier that sfs ARE samcos under a different name. Altho their respective websites both have different premises & advertise different rally teams, so maybe this isn't true.

The Roose ones are thicker grade also.

The person that set up SFS apparantly used to work at Samco and ran off with the moulds which is why the SFS hoses are similar to the Samco hoses and are the same length and don't always fit properly.

My Dad has used SFS, Samco, Mocal and now Roose. The Roose hose is massively thick...

My own hoses are shiny black Roose hoses.
