Default MK1 Transit Connect gearbox

Hi, Is there a alternative gearbox, that fits 1.8 Diesel? I'm after better ratios. Ideally 6 speed..

Hello mate, Ive been trying to find that out when I found your post, this is the 1st time I've posted on here, then noticed you asked that question a year ago and got no response? From what I can gather fitting the six speed Gerag box is quite a lot of work, swapping the flywheels, driveshaft cups, bearing carrier, shifter cables and so on. I have a 6 speed of a 2.0 tdci Mondeo sitting in my yard I was going to fit, But from what I've learnt the MTX75 box both our vans come with a stronger box with the better solid flywheel set up, but the MTX75 box off a 1.8 tdci focus is a simple straight swap with much better gear ratios, and you can still keep the solid flywheel, I wanted to ask if anyone on here has tried the box off of a escort Rs turboi? Mk3/4, as I also have a couple of those and they came with lsd,s. My connect is quite a long way from standard now and the standard box just seems to low geared.
