Has anyone done or know how easy it is to fit electric wing mirrors to a mk4 escort which came with the manual ones as standard?
Is it a case of buying loom, switch,mirrors etc and being plug and play?

Have a look up the back of the dash in the corners and see if you have the plug in the loom to connect to (should be 3 plugs of similar design - 1 for leccy windows (white plug),1 for central locking,1 for mirrors (the other 2 being red and black, i just cant remember which is which). If so then yer just buy the mirrors and sub looms(aka door looms) and jobs a goodn

 

I will have a look, car has had electric windows fitted after it was manufactured as its a non custom model without sunroof too.
