Default Cosworth 4x4 fuel pump priming issue

Hi guys recently if I leave car overnight or so the fuel pump only primes for a fraction of a second and struggles to start from cold, however once started drives and runs perfectly. I’m sure it used to prime for a good few seconds. Any ideas?

cheers Jason

The prime is temperature related.

I have known them (including mine) not to prime at all when cold, but it does when hot, which is illogical.

Many thanks, I’ll fit a new coolant temp sensor and see if any difference is made

Thing is though, mine never has.

I know it's not an issue, as I helped restore someones 3 door previously (I repaired the ECU) and that was the same.

When hot mine primes, I find this illogical.

Usually if the CTS were an issue, you would notice it over-fuelling.
