hi
has any one got any idea's as to why a cossie will not rev past 6000 rpm?
have just changed chip, injector's and have had new group A fuel pump
and loom to the pump.It cuts out as if it has hit the rev limiter but drive's
fine before this
any idea's would be appreciated

It did rev past 7000 on the old chip when on green's no prob's
i would put the old chip back in to try it but i have sold the old injector's
though the rev's will go past seven when stationary!

you say you changed the chip? any chance its been fucked up on setup and is cutting at 6 instead of 8?
Id be more inclined to check on things changed recently rather than stuff thats possibly failed.
then id give a good look over all your wiring, and earths, cos lets face it all those bloody annoying niggly faults are invariably dodgy earths
plug gaps? leads? this happened with me at EA and was down to a dodgy set of leads that a well known trader off here sold to me as genuine leads on ebay!(they werent!) but i wont name them as i cant be bothered with the hassle, anyway, swapped back to my GENUINE leads and got c59c plugs in and it was all fine.
