Default Just took off the Dump Valve :)

Just got my dump valve bung through off ebay (It was off a guy on here, sorry cant remember name) and fitted it, blocked off the vacuum hose with a screw for now and took it out for a drive!

Let it warm up and it feels sooooo much smoother and when I change gear I get a little bit of chatter!

Fitting the K&N later so maybe this will make the chatter sound a bit louder

Its much nicer to drive too but it does feel wierd not hearing the noise when I change gear!

I think it was about 4 quid....less than a tenner including delivery

Looks a bit shinier than a broom handle

Mine is running about 15-17 psi so you can hear it a bit, with a K&N will it make much diff?

Spadgeroo, no DV required AT ALL on an RST (KEJet) - in fact the fitment of ones causes problems which then have to engineered out = don't bother fitting one in the first place .

Do you really not notice a difference between a DV'd car and one without? (Sub T4 turbos anyways)??

Bill i re-fitted mine after hearing that Simon had fooked the same turbo by removing his! I have run loads of 400hp+ cossies with and without them and can honestly say i have noticed no difference at all in performance etc....!

Actually, I should have said normal T34 and above require DV, not sub T4 as that is misleading given todays array of turbo config's. I've only got experience of cossies stage 3 and below, and imo, no DV makes for a sharper throttle response.

But deffo not required on a normalish engined/turbo'd BEANTIN!! Unless you're a bus driver and miss the sound of your air brakes

Ohhh dear god did you just say bean tins look good
When you get to my age (barring the odd mistake) you would have aquired some taste i hope
At least with a saff you have the performance which can make you ignore the dull looks

spadge, KEJET is a metered air system... the metering head needs to "know" about every last little bit of air...

you let metered air out of the dumpvalve instead of letting it get into the engine, and you're asking for running problems
