I'm restoring my series 2 and the vin number stamped in the floor pan is a little worse for wear, you can still read it apart from the last 2 numbers which have rot damage.
what are my options here? can they be re made/ stamped? hoping to cut the vin out and clean it up to try save it, anyone else been in the same boat??

 

Ive got the same problem . Half my floor was rotten and paper thin . I bought a new floor panel but need to restamp some of the letters as some are now missing as i had to cut the rotten part out which has took the first half of the vin number .
