Default What is this door mirror off??

I bought this mirror for a MK2 Escort RS2000, but I've subsequently discovered it's not for that car at all.


It looks like an RS2K mirror but when you compare it to a real one (on the right in the photo below) you can see it is quite different.
The base of the stalk is a different profile, the control cable is twice as long, and the toggle mechanism on the end is angled at 90 degrees, where the RS2K unit is straight.

Any idea what this mirror should fit? Capri, Fiesta Granada, Cortina??

any ideas anyone?

Looks like a Granada MK1 Ghia mirror to me.

Capri looks good but they don't have the angled adjustment lever/threaded head.

MK2 Granada doesnt have the angled adjuster, it has a straight one.

Although Ford mirrors of that vintage are probably similar designs anyway.
