Default Help me I'm new & THICK!!!

Can anyone help? I have a lovely 1988 XR3i but it is seriously lacking something. For this reason I'm treading the path thousands have trod before me, you guessed it, engine transplant!! Now the obvious choice is the RS T lump in standard form to modify later. The problem I have is the wiring, what do I have to change or do to wire up the ECU's? I'm going from MFi 3i to MFi RST. Is it a complete loom change or is there a quicker way?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Don't do it, it would be cheaper to just sell your XR and buy an RS...

but mikes right ya can pick em up for a grand now but be prepared to spend another on th bodywork
Thats why I want to convert my 3i, I looked a tons of RS's under 2K and they were serious sheds, rotten to death but usefull for straining veg!! Whereas my XR is solid, original panels a good jumping off point!!

Even so, its not just the engine, you'd have to consider gearbox, brakes, suspension, etc etc...... And the insurance probably would be more too. Talk to Christian @ APT, he'll be able to answer all your questions
