Default Gasket Kits - Where From

Just ordering the gasket kits to build a Silvertop zetec turbo. Where are people getting their gasket kits from? Is Burton Power kits worth it?

Also what about head gaskets, what you guys recommend and where from for the silvertop.

Cheers

It’s a standard bore size 84.8mm, head had 1 skim and Wossner pistons CR of 8:0.1. Looking for advise on the best size based on the above.

will look into the gaskets cheers!

victor reinz are great. use 61-34340-00 headgasket as it's slightly thicker than the standard one. you can buy a head gasket set for the rest of the bits.

Cheers for the part number. I will look at getting one sorted.

When you say its slightly thicker, isn't the Silver top standard gasket 1.8mm and the blacktop 0.8mm? The one you have suggested is 1.3mm? I don't think it will make much difference.

Standard ST170 is finnis 1071744 Which is victor reinz part no. 61-34340-00
2.0 Blacktop And FOCUS RS MK1 are 0.6mm i believe part no. 61-34440-00

1.8mm for skimmed heads but they are hard to get, better of going for a cometic or similar to get thicker, burton power have around 1.8mm for turbo usage.
Hope this helps

the silvertop gasket is composite and not designed for turbo engines (in the old cvh engines the fire rings were much thicker on the turbo head gasket than the regular ones). MLS gaskets, being all metal, don't have a problem with fire rings generally so are good to use on all kinds of engines - turbo, supercharged, with nitrous - it doesn't really matter.
