Default Escort WRC rear turrets

HI I am in the middle of fitting Escort WRC rear end to my car, I am stuck not knowing the distance between rear top mounts. I am after the measurment between the two using referance points from middle of the spherical bearing in the top mounts.

please excuse ther crap drawing

Mine will be different as I didn't use the Ford mounting points. If you have not already bought it don't use the replica Ford designed cradle. The link arms are to short.

Ahhh ok. That's the problem with just copying things. They will always have the same inherent faults as the original design, In the late 90s Ford were bound by the regulations that stated the suspension was free but must use the original mounting point positions. The cradle created at the time was far wider than it needed to be therefore the arms both lateral and longitudinally were pretty short. Some say that the 6 deg beam was arguably better. I am not so sure. Its just a shame when the canvas is blank not to improve on a 20 year old design.

Good luck, I am sure the information you need is around.

Is it possible to assemble everything off the car, set your camber angle and measure the strut top distance?
You should be able to work out ride height, which if I am thinking correctly would be the only other critical measurement you need.
