The sounds are normally different, because the difference between what people know as a 'Dump Valve' is normally around £50-100, whereas what people know as a 'Blow Off Valve' is £100-£300. Although they are essentially the same thing.

A good example is an HKS SQV. These are around £250 and give a nicer sound than most other Dump Valves that I have heard.

HKS BOV's and Blitz Super Sequential BOV's will work and have spring tension adjustments to cure the cutting out problems.

You might have to modify the t-piece to fit tho, as the BOV has a much bigger diameter hole than a dump valve.
I had to nip to Goode's and get some 1" in diameter silicone hose. Then slide that over the original dump valve take off, and slide that over the piece.
Bit of a mission, but sounds different from the norm.

Any Probs let me know
