im posting this up for a friend who has a 1.6 zetec focus (2004). I know this engine is not very tunable, but we are trying to consider which way to go about getting more power. At the minute he has a scoprion cat back exhaust and a viper induction kit. He is considering the van aaken turbo kit, which i assume will fit? has anyone had any experience with these, or would it be better to go down the NA tuning route, cams, headwork etc?

I personally think he should drop a bigger engine in, but due to insurance, this is not possible.

Any advice would be most helpfull

well fella, i have a 1.6 zetec s focus and to get the power up all you can to is 3 to 4" catbat system, panel filter, cams, and superchip. you could get a de-cat but you must make sure the new cat back system is no more than 2" to the back then your 3 or 4" out. if you are in or around essex there is a company in chelmsford that can do a turbo for the 1.6 but they will have to do all kinds of stuff to the engine so it dont blow up. and its not cheap!!!
