Default S-Max 2.5T slightly tuned

Dear Members,

I'll own an S-Max 2.5T Titanium soon, in good condition with the same probability of failing than if it was mine from the very first mile.
It has about 150.000 km in the engine (~93k miles) and everything's working fine, nice sound, nice values at the exhaust, etc.

Some question you might help me with:
- what kind of 'phase1' tuning would you recommend as a healthy upgrade to about 250-260PS ? I'm a very calm driver (I mean REALLY CALM) but occassionally when I push the pedal on the highway for couple of seconds I'd like to have that smile on my face - and that's it. Not going to push the car on the German highway to its limits hours long like crazy..

- Does this require a separate ECU, maybe connecting between stock ECU and the engine itself, or are usually factory electronics reprogrammed without additional device ?

- What would you do as a buyer with the engine to clean it out a bit, maybe swap some parts if needed, etc ? How about uprated fuel pump/oil pump, or are stock ones still great for a small increase in HP ? Ignition sparks ?

- Can you recommend me a good tuner who does the mod for me or I can buy the trick online as a piece of electronics and it's reliable ? I don't know the most reliable tuner brands out there.

Thank you

Thank you RicheST, I've heard about that recently, I'll check it out.

Another Q: how many kilometres are these 2.5T engines rated for, when maintained well during the entire life ? 300.000+ or maybe 400.000 too ? (Without big dismantling. A turbo swap is okay).
