that car started at about 30k and no one wanted it at that money guys a idiot.. ive spoke to him etc its a 3door shell on a sapphire logbook..

 

It is not an RS500 with real low miles and in perfect condition so why does the seller think it is worth so much!!! If anyone is stupid enough to pay that for it they definitely have got more money than sense!!

 

its been for sale about 4years i know of now.. i think just the fact it has i think a J reg plate on it says its all as even a cheap reg to hide that would look better then that.. but i think like out else these days you always get them...

 

I guessed it was a ringer or something, how do they get around chassis number next to drivers seat stamped in chassis ?

 

it could be a new body shell from ford or motorsport place back in 90s if so you could get it stamped by ford service center with sapphire number all above board etc.. but him with that claims it was bought from ford old stock never seen road etc or he told me then i asked what was on logbook and he said saloon so wey said it all to me that was when it was eather 25 or 29k on gumtree..

That is what I don't understand, how can a 3 door Cosworth be registered as a Sapphire 4 door? What do you insure it as, a 3 door or Sapphire? Even if I had the crazy money he is asking for it I would not be interested!

yeah thats the point.. its like a full cosworth replica on book as 1.6L you carnt insure it correct like the sierras with v8s in as soon as u say its a 3500cc etc its like hang on its come up as 1.6 base once you say engine is changed its like there want reports and all kinds.. but like said you carnt insure it as 4dr saloon and its a 2door hatch you no.. but im sure back in day you could change body type hence the f reg 3doors and some e reg ones people claim are 100% but the vin in engine bay says body type but logbook can still say hatch but the vin will code as saloon..

yeah thats what i asked the guy years ago as j reg would of been 4x4 sapphire and thats running 2wd set up.. But who ever has it is obv a dreamer like few you see for sale someone looks at a cosworth thats mint with history etc etc for like 50k say next thing you see the rottors and write offs needn paint and all kinds for 40k just idiots man you will always get them lol
