Default series 2 rs Cold start problems

Hi guys the car has been garaged for a long time and won't start. At first I thought fuel pressure but that's fine. Getting a spark but plugs are dry so took the plug off the cold start and I'm only getting 9.5 volts and know I need 12 volts any advice on what to check next is appreciated

Hi , i have a similar problem with my xr3 but mines only fires up on the csv , no compression no to sure where to go as well.
Is there any noises or power when starting it? u checked or replaced the bat?
Have u made sure the injectors are working , take them out but keep them connected to fuel lines put them in bottles and turn the car over they should spray out nice - or you could carefully undo the clips on the fuel distributor ( metering head ) , take the air filter out , turn the car over and slowly lift the plunger under it at the same time might need a mate to help.

the battery is new I've got fuel pressure and when I turn the car over and press the flap under the airfilter/ metering head it still don't start and get a strong smell of petrol, I tried it today with easy start spray in the intake and again nothing???

Put 10 litres in but not getting any petrol to the injectors until I press the flap down on the metering head. Spoke to a guy in the local garage and he said it won't start until I get 12volts to the cold start

the 12 is fed from blue black wire on ignition > there will be an intersection where wires are added at the point it turns to black yellow,..
it also goes to pin 24 jetronic black box ,
from that intersection it also feeds the thermo time switch, guess thats techincal name for a sensor ,
so check 12v is flowing through blue black, at ignition , on stage 2

No mate that's my next job, I seen somewhere that the cold start voltage can be anywhere between 9-12 volts? I did notice some petrol sat in the throttle body so think it might be working.
