Default Clutch release bearing for BC gearbox

Hi all,
I'm stuck on a part number that I can't find. The original release bearing has an internal diameter of 34mm and fits perfectly but the new one that has been sent from Burton is 30mm internal diameter. Ive called them and they have told me that it is the one that every BC box uses..

has anyone come across this issue before?? TIA

ps the frame is the right size on the new bearing it's just the Internal part.

There are 3 sizes (inc the standard fitment size). Your gearbox will have a sleeve on the shaft which increases the ID of the bearing required.
I only have details for the next size up tho (32~mm), the info should be out there if you do some searching tho

The 32mm is the one I am looking for as the 30mm one is too small. Is the 32mm what you have ??

Your original post says the original bearing you had, had an ID of 34mm?
32.3mm version will still be too small, you need the matched 34mm version

Yes that's my bad I meant 34mm. I wonder if I can try and put 2 types of bearings together to make it work. Or will I leave myself open to trouble !!

Pop in Ford and ask. They'll have all 3 listed. Even if they dont have the part, or its NLA, you can at least get the FINIS and start shopping around for alternatives based on part number
