my brother has had a mondeo for a year and ive just found out its a rare 4x4 model...it got me thinking about buying it and conversion to cosworth 4x4 spec,but its probaly not that easy anyone know about them e.g type of back axle,layout,strength etc ....probaly based on a rs20004x4 running gear and not feasible to convert,but worth asking

Cant see it making any diffrence to be honest mate as the drive train of the
mondeo is totaly different to the cosworth i would imagine the same amount of
fabrication work would have to be carried out

I think only one person has carried out such a conversion and that was martyn
from reyland motorsport!!!

 

another option....buy martin's cossie 4x4 mondeo which is already converted

 

why not turbo the zetec enigne already in there??

just turbo the zetec, That 4x4 focus which bombs round the add track day uses the modie 4x4 system with turbo.

 

Any idea what sort of price that would be going for?
