Default RS1600i no spark

Hi i have just put my engine back in & had loads of problems with the flywheel etc so decided to just connect enough up to test a spark, unfortunately i dont have a spark, any ideas?, ive tested 12v to the ecu & both coils, checked primary & secondary resistance on both coils & have 2 ecu's so have tried both, is there a way to test the flywheel sensor?, any advice would be gratefully received
