Default wheel bearings

do the front and back wheel bearings have to bed in ive got new ones all round and although the wheels move they seem very tight i torqued them up as per manual but seems to tight.
ive drove the car back and forwards a few times and there defiantly not as tight as they were.
i dont want to slacken the nut off for them then to bed in and become lose.

At a guess I would say they’ve been done up to tight as they are taper bearings, maybe your torque wrench is out!
They should spin freely.

As Tosh said new wheel bearings should be free spinning as soon as they have been fitted and there is no need to "bed them in".

the torque setting is that tight I don't see how they could ever be free spinning I will back them off and see what there like.
it's annoying as there the first wheel bearings I've ever torque to correct spec and it's back fired

Mine initially felt tight but freed off, that was doing them upto 260-270nm with a calibrated torque wrench borrowed from work

Remember you are putting the tapered bearings under load, unlike normal ball bearings.

Mine were quite tight but freed up without issues.
