Looking for my old sapphire 4x4 (K191 VRP)
Hi guys,
just a a very random thought. I owned an smokestone 4x4 saff that I bought back in 1998 when I was 18. I sold it in I think either 2001 or 2002. Very very highly specced as I used it for sprints and hill climbs. Car was immaculate also. Sat on rondels, tarox 6 pots front and 4 pot ap racing rear, leader coilovers etc. List went on. Engine was a full group A touring car built by mountune .
Would love I’ve to see if this is still around and what’s change over all these years. Hope it’s still about .
Hope you lot could shed some light for me.

Thanks James. I have seen it in the register pics and I know the wheels have been painted grey. But I couldn’t tell you when .
Spent a lot of money and time on it like we all do and I just hope it’s still around and going strong.

Such a pity that you decided to sell it. From the photo's and your description it was a very good example.Hopefully it's still being looked after and enjoyed.
Thankyou cossynut2, well things move on and had such a good time with it but I had always wanted a skyline gtr. So ended up with a standard 33 gtr which ended it’s like with 674 bhp , 554 torque. Now I drive a work van. Haha.
There was was something about the cossie as I grew up with my dad racing cosies in sprints and hillclimbs(rs500- A10 COS).
will always have a soft spot for them but there to expensive now to get another for me.

Hope you get a chance in the future to get another performance car. Once you have owned one it would be hard to not get tempted again! I have owned my 2wd Saff for 25 years and have no intention of ever getting rid of it.
