Default Saph 4x4 engine loom bulkhead breakpoint connectors

Hi all,

does anyone one have any info on where I can get the 3 break points at the bulkhead for the Saph 4x4 engine loom.

I have no interest in the available new loom kits that do not have these 3 break points. The engine comes out too often.

I seem to to have had no luck tracking them down anywhere. Thanks in advance

Not to rain on your parade but it is highly unlikely that you will be able to source any new wiring looms for Cosworths these days and second hand ones will be old and liable to failing.

I had a couple of issues with my 4x4 Sapphire with the engine loom and the loom under the steering column which melted a couple of times. The loom under the steering column I had to chop out of a donor car from a breakers which iirc was a 1.8lx Sapphire but the wiring under there is the same. The 3 point plugs fooked up too and I ended up cutting them out and soldering the wires together. This lasted about 16 months but ultimately I had to fit a new engine loom to solve a constant mis fire where under the boost the car would not go anywhere and the Rev counter jumped around all over the place.

you will more than likely have to fit a replacement engine loom mate

Thanks for the reply

It’s just the connectors I need. I can deal with the loom issues. I have all the AMP tools. And can build a loom no probs. Just can’t seem to find the 3 bulkhead connectors.

Been a sierra man for 21 years now, I’ve got used to the wiring woes. I’ve found a periodic unplug and plug of the relays and fuses stops any verdigris which is the main issue for overheating wiring. Plus all connectors have electrolube in them.

Problem is the ECU to break point may have a damaged wire and I need to chase and replace. Not a big task but the connectors would be a great help.

I think you can buy generic ones from places like RS, I have been thinking of something for mine...or does yours need to be oem spec?
