Hi, not long had a Mk2 Focus 1.8 TDCi. The Engine light illuminated, plugged it in and it was the EGR. So I have enquired about having it remapped and removed and got a blanking plate. I had a french diesel a year ago with a faulty DPF, so with that in mind I would like it removed from my Focus to make it more reliable.
Is this MOT compliant - Is a DPF an MOT requirement?

 

It's a fail of it shows a visual sign of removal, good luck finding someone to map it out of the ecu either as it's a big fine for them.
