Default Ford Fiesta 2003 manual VSS

Hi all I need some help with the below post
Right, Got the pin out the way I done it was used a chisel to cut off the plastic that the pin goes through that will give you a bit
more to grab a then tapped the pin in about 2mm that broke the seal on it then left it with wd40 on for 20 mins. I then used a mole grips from underneath to grip on the pin. Then from the top I used a screwdriver to leveler against the casing and mole grips and out it came. Happy days first coffee. As I couldn't get the sensor out for love or money mole grips just chewed it away. so following day I drilled a 8mm hole close to the edge of the plastic and casing I drilled all the way in the drilled more holes across in a line stopping about half way, I then drilled a 3mm hole and used a big coarse thread bold (type you use for sky dishes) in the 3mm hole with a washer on my plan was to drive it in then uses a crowbar to pull sensor out. But when tighting the bold up all of a sudden it went slack so I pulled it out and out came half the sensor and I used a long nose pliers to pull out other half, As it was made of hard plastic it just split down the middle where I had drilled (was even happier not it was out) quick coffee then cleaned the hole and rubbed some Vaseline in hole and sensor and in it went replaced pin and wire and all done I have two handheld code readers both came back with VSS fault so I cleared codes. RIGHT HERE COMES THE PART I NEED HELP HAD WIFE TO DRIVE IT AROUND THE BLOCK, SHE CAME BACK AND SPEEDO DIDNT MOVE OR MILEAGE IS STILL THE SAME JUST ------- I READ ONLINE THAT THE ECU MAY NEED TO BE RESET DUE TO IT SKIPPING CHECKING AS IT WAS FAULTY.HOW CAN I DO THIS ? I have put my 2 code readers on and done a scan and no faults found

I had this with a Fusion at work. Replaced the sensor and it had 2 codes. Put them codes into Google and it will link you to ecu testings website.

The ecu is faulty and needs a repair. We even sent the clock away to another firm. Only after did I Google the codes and find out about the ecu.
