Default Compbrake servo replacement

Hi guys,
I'm hoping for help/advice really on the compbrake servo replacement
I have a hissing brake servo which seems to have caused a fair few people on here some headaches to. What i was hoping/thinking was to do away with the servo all together and use this compbrake set up,does anyone have experiences with the setup ? Would that have been its primary design to delete the servo or is it more for track biased cars? The car isn't a track car by the way.
I hope someone makes sense of what I'm trying to do and any help would be great.
thanks matt

From what I can remember about the compbrake units there is no pedal feel as such and the pedal will be rock hard all the time, not ideal for a road car. I'm sure there was some thread on here about using a mondeo servo and modifying the original servo mounting bracket. Have you done a search?

Thanks for the reply beaver rs.
think the compbrake kit is a none starter then really I have searched mate yeah i was really just considering that as an option kind of fit and forget jobbie. Funnily enough was telling a mate about it today and he gave me a number of a chap who could possibly refurb the old servo which is another option. Will keep looking joys of owning older Ford's I suppose lol.
cheers matt

That looks sound rsmat is that a straight forward modification? What parts would I need? Would I have to repipe the brake system. This would be my first attempt at something like this but would gladly have a go but as it's the brakes I best ask for the advice first. Cheers matt

Hi mate this a compbrake set up I've altered to fit straight behind the paddle..once up and running ..I'll write up full instructions on what to do ..but so far nothing hard about it ..yea you will have to change the brake lines to suit .. one to rear and split and one to front and split
